If your eyes are wandering everywhere, then the speaker also loses interest in talking to you. If there is only one speaker, then look at him directly. Show you are listening<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8ed55b1 ser-det-text elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8ed55b1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>You can, from time to time, acknowledge by nodding or giving some one-word replies like \u201cyes\u201d, \u201cOK\u201d, \u201chmm\u201d, etc. An open, straight and welcoming posture encourages the speaker to start the conversation and continue talking.<\/p><p>Smiling at the speaker, laughing at their jokes, applauding are some non-verbal ways to show that you are present and open to conversation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-84810cb elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"84810cb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">3. This is possible if you can reflect on what you heard.<\/p><p>But do not interrupt the flow to give your feedback or to clear your doubts. Always wait for the speaker to finish and invite questions. When you listen, you hear the speaker\u2019s version, and do not force your version or opinion on them.<\/p><p>Passing any judgement on their opinion, conduct or performance will make them defensive in your presence and make you less trustworthy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4348124 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4348124\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">5.
